Archery, Muzzleloader, First Rifle Season (Draw), Second Rifle Season

There is nothing more satisfying than riding into a herd of Elk on a clear mountain morning, maybe you had been hearing an elk bugle for the last 30 minutes, knew you were getting close, but suddenly, there they are. Our hunting, like the rest of the services, starts horseback. Whether you want a drop camp for your group or a fully guided hunt, one guide per two hunters, we take you in with horses and a pack string. Hunts are offered for Archery, Muzzleloader, and the first two Rifle Seasons. All the hunt packages include game packing, radio contact, and service to a level you will enjoy.

We offer several drop camp locations, Oyster Lake, Smith/Jones, Lilly Pond, Rat Mountain, all situated in 25,000 acres of the White River National Forest. You will feel the solitude in a camp that you will appreciate for its comfort when you came back in at the end of a day. Drop camp includes everything you will need except your food, personal items, sleeping bag, gun, license and determination. Hunts are based on a 5 day season.

Guided hunts are available and recommended; we offer them out of Base Camp or from the house. We try to limit guided hunts to one guide per two hunters. Horses are used on a daily basis to allow us to get into the middle of elk country, all are included in the price, you bring your gun, clothes, license and skill. We only accept a maximum of two guided hunt camps at a time, so you will have our attention.

We offer very limited hunting for deer; this is not a recommended deer camp except for archery season.
